The team, that includes all activities, from R&D to the clinics through the GMP production of dedicated batches of cell-based products, is a unique Italian reality with the aim to quickly move gene and cell therapy projects from R&D to clinical trials, fulfilling the concept of translational research up to the patient bed. The R&D group cooperates to the development of proprietary ATMP products that are quickly moved to the GMP facility, in compliance with the European regulation both for gene and cell therapy and well equipped with the most updated technologies. Authorized by AIFA in 2017, the Cell Factory in 2020, after a revamping that increased the number of production units, received the upgraded GMP authorization.
